our services
Everyone experiences times when they feel anxious, sad, or
depressed. If your problems are getting on top of you, it can
help to talk to someone who has the time to listen.
Counselling can help you to explore your feelings and look at
the reasons why you are feeling this way and aims to help you
find your own solutions, without making moral judgements
or pushing you in a particular direction.
If you are going through a difficult patch or had a particularly
bad day and you may need help to prevent a crisis (or are in a
crisis already), or if you may just be feeling lonely or low and
having a counsellor or support worker to talk to, meeting
other people or simply being in a friendly and safe space for
a while would prevent things getting worse; then our evening
Crisis Café is available to help.
If you are feeling isolated, would like to meet other people or
take part in activities/groups in a friendly and welcoming
atmosphere then we can help. Oasis provides social support
and activities including art/craft and music, LGBTQ+ support
groups plus a women only session, together with access to
our other support services and to a wide range of advice and
information on all aspects of keeping mentally well.
We can help with issues such as benefits, financial and debt
advice, bills, housing, accessing services including social work
teams/mental health teams/GP/counselling, support for
appointments, help in speaking to other organisations etc.
We also have our own eight flat supported housing scheme.
If you would like to take part in healthy activities to improve
your mental health our Creative Spaces project may be what
you’re looking for. Activities include gardening or outdoor
work, wildlife and conservation projects, art and craft work,
carpentry and general handiwork - and football! It’s also the
ideal way to socialise and make friends or just to be able to
walk or sit in a peaceful and relaxing environment.
